Calling for expressions of interest for all Levels

The on-going Covid-19 issues around interstate travel, border restrictions and snap lockdowns means that long-term planning is still difficult – especially given the very social nature of our Orff Levels courses.

We are looking at the possibility of running Levels during the September school holidays. Please help us by registering your interest (and which Level). Sign up to mailing list and you will be notified if we are able to proceed.

This will be dependent on participant numbers, so please register your interest now to: info@qosa.org.au, so that we can plan accordingly.

In January 2000, the Australian National Council of Orff Schulwerk approved a set of guidelines to ensure that Australian Orff Level Courses achieved consistent learning outcomes across all states.  Level courses provide training in the history and pedagogy that make up the Orff approach to music and movement education.

There are four levels of Orff Schulwerk Training, each involving 37 hours of coursework. Each  level, which must be completed in sequence, offers instruction and assessment in:

Pedagogy
Orchestration
Technique & Improvisation
Movement
Recorder
